Title: Madman Sells Dolls of Figures in Iraq War
Post by: Rampage on April 19, 2003, 05:50:43 pm
That's right!  This guy has nothing better to do, for he makes dolls of infamous (and famous) figures in the Iraq conflict.  It ranges from President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair to the Iraqi "Dis"-Information Officer.

Visit his crazy website:

Nutty people! On the internet! Who would ever have imagined!

Some of his stuff is kinda funny, but he's far from the only guy cashing in on current affairs with worthless crap, or the most ridiculous one.

Didn't we put that on the list? Or was that the laser-beam eyes and the force-strangling action?

The information minister should be given a medal... I hope the Merkins don't kill him, he needs a job on TV

Ya know, it occurred to me... wasn't there just that Robin Williams movie heroizing a guy who did basically the exact same thing we make fun of in the Information Minister... whatsisname.. "Jakob the Liar". See, it's noble and a way to raise the morale of the crushed when we feel like it, and it's some dumb guy sticking his head in the sand when we feel like it. Convenient, nie?

I wish. Some people freak out about Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, I freak out about that. And Willard. If there was a way of going in costume without breaking several weapons ordinances, I would.

Optimism is one thing. Any government would try to keep their side's spirits up. But it's pushing it a bit far when you see a marine asked about the information minister, and he says "well he's just across the street, we can go ask him"

Propoganda is and always will be a useful tool. If you can keep your forces from being fully aware that they've pretty much lost, they can stick it out for months, even years, under horribly adverse conditions. A dedicated soldier will fight to the death if he thinks it'll further his cause- but nobody short of the clinically insane would fail to throw down their weapons if they were aware that it would make no difference to the eventual outcome whether they fight and die or surrender and live. This is why you never hear any radio reports, during any war, saying "Aww, we're getting our asses kicked. Every battle we've been in, we've lost, and they just took one of our major cities. But that's okay, we're still gonna fight and get killed, even if we do lose!"- the illusion of potential victory can oftentimes be so influential that it spells victory in the end. Look at some of the revolutions in this last century.

Exaggerations, even outright lies are a necessary part of warfare, oftentimes. The dude's BSing mighta been a bit desperate toward the end, but that's exactly what he was doing.

You're quite right. You have to wonder, though, who was he kidding when American tanks could be heard accross the other side of the river? To say his BSing was 'a bit desperate' is an understatement... I just hope the find the guy and give him some sort of award for the performences of the last few days :)

Nah, they've secured Baghdad, they've rounded up a fair number of officers, it's Bush's special little Revenge Time. He's probably gonna get shot like every other recognizable Iraqi name in pretty short order.

And they wonder why all the cops don't come out of hiding.

In our greatest time of need, our once thought allies turn their backs on us. Even worse, France has moved from simple dissent to active hostility toward America. French president Chirac warned Eastern European nations that if they side with the U.S., France would oppose their membership in the European Union.

President Bush said it best, “Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. “ As Americans, we need to make a stand against our new enemies – these countries that do not support our stand against terror.

Millions of Americans are joining the boycott campaign against these countries’ products and countries. In order for this boycott to be effective, we must consistently and permanently shun these products. Historically, France has been the most popular European vacation destination for Americans. There are much better places to visit besides smelly France. Try Spain or Italy (countries that actually support United States).

The quickest and most effective way to assist America as get back at France is dump all your stock in French companies traded on the CAC, NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, etc. Divesting from these companies & reinvesting those funds in American companies will immediatly and greatly affect those French companies and benefit our American companies.
