Hey I am looking for the older campaign Derelict? Does anyone have it, i can't find it anywhere. I played once and loved it. I would love to try it again.

Unfortunately you`ve picked the week of the year that the volitionwatch archives goes down.
The was a website for Deralict but I`m not certain of it's address. Failing that I may still have the install lurking on my hard drive so I`ll send it if no one can find a better way to send it to you.
While you`re waiting check out Skippy's campaign list (http://fs2.kissifrot.com/) and try out something new.

Welcome to HLP, exits are somewhere, something about flamethrowers, watch out for Carl. Done.
Right, the place to get Derelict is the VW archives, but since VW is up the creak at the mo you may be out of luck. Perhaps someone knows somewhere else it's mirrored, perhaps not. We shall see :)
[EDIT] As if I didn't know Karajorma would get in there first :D

Diamond Geezer is kind to animals. Except spiders.

If you could send me the install that would be great. As for new campaigns, what would you suggest? I liked derelict because it was long and had great twists and turns. Anything like that?

Despite us both living in a time zone where we should either be out partying or tucked up safe in bed at this hour :)

Seether, the usual suspects include the Aeos Affair, Warzone and the Jake Wars which for some reason people never EVER talk about...

We've got 2 of the 3 mentioned there at VW Archives and same with Derelict. Alas...it is down...eeerg. If someones got a place some of these can go...I can download them from our FTP and get them to you.
The website is down but we can still get in to the files.
EDIT: I've got em...someone have a place? E-mail me and I'll e-mail them over or something. They are a combined total of about a meg and a half.

I refuse to help until people start discussing the Jake Wars :drevil:
-----------
Diamond Geezer has completed bothg epsiodes of the Jake Wars
-
I think I did play a bit of Jake's War. Didn't understand the storyline and it screwed up my textures and had to reinstall the game.

The what? :nervous:
Seriously, I've never heard of them!
-
Well it's been a while, and I played the second epsiode first, but here's the basics - it's set around the same time as FS, but rather than fighting aliens you're fighting against a satanic cult the size of an army, led by a fellow called Jake. They use Shivan ships, on the basis that they're red and spikey... it's just an interesting alternative to the usual 'third Shivan invasion' style of campaign :)

Yea, I never played em' either. I was going to download it onetime (I think I saw a cool headline/description on freespace watch or HLP, but when I got to VWArchives, it was totally different and didn't sound all that good.)
Sounded like someone's sci-fi book or 'tc' and less freespace, which I personally find as :ick
-
Meh. I played it and quite liked it. :nervous:
-
Hmm...It seems Derelict is once again needed
I have solution:

If the link is too slow sorry - it's in Middle Europe.

Probably because the name is so completely ridiculous that people feel embarassed even typing it.
-
What do you mean? It's the glorious, honored tale of when the Jakes fought off the superior forces of the evil Steves, in their wicked attempt to steal the Last Pizza Slice of Papa John's from the icy Fridges of Kitchen. Many a good soldier died in that fateful conflict, and to this day the Last Pizza Slice sits in a holy place inside the Jake Lower Intestine.
Okay, so I made that last part up. So?
-
Doesn't sound that far off.. although you made no mention of Jake being the fat bisexual retarded kid.
