Just wanted to note, every site with info on this says that a modded weapon table crashes the game when you check them out in the tech room.
I have not had this problem. I did go over each and every entry in the table, and started with one totally comment free. It supports the current release of the FS1 Port, the Shivan weapons, and a few minor ones I grabbed from the demo for laughs. At least it works with the ship table I created at the same time.
GE has informed me that there is going to be an update to the port, so it would be pointless to release the tables. Just wanted to let folks know it is possible to have the weapons working in the tech room when they have been modded. He did say one other thing that still has me puzzled however: "These are the strangest tables I have ever seen."

Are you using the SCP? They kinda fixed that as far as I know...

Doesn't have to be SCP - works in retail too. Actually, I tested the whole thing on a clean install. Nothing but the required files from the port unpacked from the VP in the data folders, retail version.
EDIT: With most modded weapon files I did get the crashing bug even in the SCP.

it happens, just don't go to the weapons tech room...
