For some time I've heard something about a destroyer which was named GTD Tennyson. I think it was made by Ryx. Has someone ever finished this model? When yes, where can I get it?
-
It's around here somewhere...
I got a copy on my HD.
-
Good :)
Can i see a screenshot ?

A few pics and the model files (as in NO .pof, just .3ds).

Nice ship. :)
-
Yes, its a nice ship. Can someone convert it into a pof-file?
And when yes can I use it for my campaign?
-
Can i have it for my mod too ?
-
Use this link and click on Tennyson.rar to download it:

But it isn't my model, ask Ryx if you could use it.
-
I have download the model but in TS are 4 models there and the weapons fly in the air.
EDIT: I talk with my modeller over it.

Sorry, I can't help you. Ask a modeller!
-
I ask at the afternoon TrashMan my modeller.
-
Was that your baby Ryx? That's a really nice ship. How do we make it suitable for .cobbing? Do we just delete the extra objects until the most complete looking mesh is left, place it at 0,0,0, and save? (gonna try it after I re-DL it as I lost the file when my HD crashed.)...
BTW it reminds me of a minotaur.... Mean and ugly! (joking)...
[edited] I tried deleting the other 3 ships but as soon as I delete one all of then vanish?!
How do I end up with only the completed one???
-
*sigh* He's probably included the LODs. You need to know TS hierarchy to set it up. I used Sandwich's tutorial, but there are lots more you can use to teach you how to get it into a proper POF. I'd do it myself, but I'm busy with Real Life today.
-
wow, the forum must have been purged recently. I can't seem to find any mention of that ship anywhere. I know someone gave it actual Freespace turrets at some point, and presumably they POF'd it as well.
-
Use truewiev to select just one model...
Delete those you don't want...save the one that reamins as LOD0.
Re-load the main model (or scene)
Do the same for LOD1...
Etc....
-
Yeah, this is my model. :)
It's fully textured, and has 4 LODs.
I know Venom and/or Woo may have converted it. There was some problem with the turrets, IIRC. Also, if you feel it has too few turrets, you can add more. :)
Anyway it's a public model. If you want to use it (MOD or render) go ahead. :)
-
Darn.....
I have managed to sperate the hull.....but lost the turrets and the textures.....
Maby better....... wow.. this is high-poly stuff...

woomeister has converted your tennyson, and made a special version for me with NGTA turrets instead. that was for the demo.
-
Could somebody please post a finished copy so that the rest of the community can enjoy this work of art?
-
My version requires fighterbay paths, and doesn't use the original barrel turrets.
Since PCS crashes with this ship I haven't added the paths yet. I'll see what I can do this week...
-
My model is only the hull! Lost turrets and textures.....
I don't think I'll be working on this one.....1400 polys..the hull alone!!!!!!
