seen the trailer for the xbox... and i've got one opinion of it:
it looks like a SW version of battlezone 2 and no wonder it was made by the same developers...:blah:

Is that a good or a bad thing?
Original updated Battlezone > Battlezone 2.
I dunno, Battlezone 2 didn't have the same atmosphere and I felt they made unneeded changes to the interface. But it was pretty good, might have to check out this game though if it's like BZ2.
-
If it's based on the Battlezone 2 engine (which certainly looks to be the case - or at the least an updated version), why the heck can't they make a PC version??
-
that angers me somewhat.. oh well i gots an xbox..:p
-
Not played battlezone so the comparison doesn`t mean much to me but I`ve heard that Hostile Waters (which I love) is like a cross of it and Carrier Command so I`m thinking it might be worth getting a copy.
What was the original Battlezone like?
-
Ok, those screenies suck so much baboon ass....
-
pretty much the same as bz2..

It was... pure fun. Nothing like it in the world. Matter of fact, I think I'm adding it to my list of games to replay.

why do lucas arts seem to keep "borrowing" other game engines? Quake3=>Jk2, Age of EmpiresII=>Galactic Battlegrounds and now Battlezone2=>The Clone Wars?
ahh well, as long as their good....

Despite the fact that the game has been out on the Gamecube and PS2 (not sure on that one) for quite some time now.

If you liked Hostile Waters, I'm pretty sure Battlezone would be to your tastes.
-
Remember that musical cannon in Battlezone?
-
BattleZone... *flashbacks...* That is a good game. :)
BattleZone 2 improved interface and gameplay but original BZ is still better on other aspects, like storyline and missions.

Ha ha, the Rave Cannon was ace. Especially if you were flying the Apollo landing craft. Love that game so much. Urge to Re-Install rising....

Excellent. I'll begin looking for a copy immediately :) Might not install it until I finish replaying Hostile Waters again though. I really should lock that game away. Once I start playing it I can't leave it alone until I complete it :)

Because when their own (non-adventure) engines suck? Witness: Force Commander, X-Wing Alliance. Those would have been so awesome if they had used the Warcraft III and FS2 engines.
(Yes, I know WC3 wasn't around when they made FC. It's an example. :p )
-
It would have been awesome if somebody *****-slapped the entire lucasarts team and made them rethink their lives before they released Force Commander :)

I got Clone Wars on my GameCube, it's loads of fun to fly one of those gunships around and wipe everything out.
-
Anyone play that Star Wars game on Playstation... I think it was called Demolition? It had everything from the original trilogy and Episode I... you could pilot an AT-ST against a Trade Federation hovertank. ;7 It was from the same guys who made Vigilante 8, so you could blow up all the buildings.

Aww, some of them aren't so bad. :)

But PS2... :doubt: Well, I'll stick to my PC. Maybe they'll do it like Halo, put out a version for us later.
