watched starwars ep II recently - got inspired.

Still working on the shiny-ness thing, truespace appears to keep making it too light. Also i'm gonna improve the mesh, but i'm away for a few days.
Oh yeah, and i'll model some escort fighters, and a few buildings of Corusant, so i can get the landing scene from the begining of the film.

Very cool! Particularly the third pic. Though I think your engines and wingtips are a bit off. The angle of the nose needs to be pointier, too. Here...

and of course it's truespace. TS can do that, you just need someone with skillz on the other end of the monitor.

do you have raytraceing on?
environment maping might give you more of the effect you want (unless you're useing that already)

yes, and yes. Though the enviroment mapping only really worked in the last 3rd one.
