Not sure if this is done, but I ran into something yesterday in while doing the finishing touches on another ship. Is it possible to tie fighter / wing launches to individual hangars? Such that in Fred one can select the hangar subsystem from which a particular fighter wing arrives if that wing is set to arrive from a hangar?

don't worry, they never reply, that's a rule here :p

Only during exams. :ha:
It is probably possible, but no-one's looked at it.

Well, surely you could have hangers named seperately? Fighterbay 1, etc?

thats not the issue, the fighters just arrive from random bays if more than one is on a ship - look at the Hatshepsut for reference ;)

You can (and in fact the Ravana does) but there is no way to select which fighterbay gets used in FRED. You choose Docking Bay from one pull down and the name of the ship from another. There isn't an option to choose the bay.

Actually, since the hanger subsystems have no effect on fighter launch it would be better to be able to choose which fighterbay paths the ships use to launch.

This would be a major bost for campaigns (for example one of my ships has about 5 or 6 fighter bays... not good if I want a controled launch:doubt: )

My point was that if you can name the bays seperately, surely a fairly minor code mod would allow you can chose which bay to launch from - just like choosing any other subsytem to work with.
