Title: SJ Sathanas and SSJ Sathanas?
Post by: Starks on May 02, 2003, 09:18:02 pm: What was the SSJ Sathanas? It was used to designate two or three Sathanasi in SOC with Snipes where the third Knossos is discovered 150 clicks out in deep right field.

(What is one click equal to?)

SSJ Sathanas is just a typo or an abreiviation for debreis or distance or something. IIRC it only shows up on the radar and targetting, but when you fly to it (well you couldn't because its too far out) it's just a polygon. That way they don't have to use up game memory on a whole Juggernaught or 9, yet still make you think it's there.

Post by: CP5670 on May 02, 2003, 09:40:23 pm: It is a little tetrahedron thing used in missions that have Sathanas ships placed very far away; it uses up less system resources since it has no model details or turrets. In that SOC mission you mentioned you can target the SSJs, so if you use the target's view key and then go into the external view, you can see what it really is. :D Not sure why it is called SSJ though.
