I'm currently making my Diploma Work (as some of you may or more likely don't know). I'm studying how computers and drawing tablets change comic drawing or do they etc. etc.
One part of my studies is that I make one comic of my own using a drawing tablet, and it's finished... wanna see it, of course you do :D
First 5 pages are quite finished, the next 6 pages are in a sketching stage and the last pages are in a really early development state where I have been planning the whole story in general. I decided to do it this way so that the different stages of drawing would show up. Of course a lesser amount of pages would have been enough but this way I have quite a decent story also.
anyway, it's here

There are some minors on this board. And people who act like minors :D
Anyway to get back on topic looks good so far. Pity I can't understand a word of it so I'll just confine myself to asking for a longer shower sequence :D

Heh, thanks kj ^_^
and Razor, I know that most of us are old enough but still I find it appropriate to warn, just in case :)

I'll watch it when it's translated :) ( you should redo the pic shown in full size on the age, she looks like a man there )
-
How do you have "slight" nudity? Does the person have really small genitals or something? It just seems like being "sorta" dead, or "occasionally" a fig tree.

no she doesn't :D
But I will have a look at it today since I'm gonna add an episode number into it. So I'll have a closer look at the lass too ;)
Slight nudity = Not everything is shown (if it really needs to be pointed out)

the body I mean. she's short and... wide :p

it's because of the way she's holding her hands. They hide the waist and that's why it may look a bit funny. Meh, I like it, so I'll keep it that way :p
Thank's for the comment though, I'll keep it in mind

Nudity, I don't mind, but the Finnish is intollerable.

it might be good, but i don't know. next time, do it in the right language.

isn't his own language the right one for a job attempted in his own diploma?

well as I said, since so many have complained the language I'll try to translate it into English asap :D

Well, I have a couple general suggestions. The first is that the character on the front cover (I'm assuming that the big picture on the right is the cover) has a hairline that is too far above her eyes to make it believable. Also, there should be a link to the next page in each of the comic "pages".
Lastly, bullets don't go "Pang", they go "Spakk!" :D
EDIT: A question about doing comics, BTW. Do you draw each panel full-page? Or do you draw half-page? In the actual frame? Does it vary? I'm thinking about starting my own, but having trouble with these things...

they go "pan" in french :p
finnish is closer to french, therefore finnish is right :D ( isn't that a completly flawed logic? :D )
-
yea I noticed the hairline, but since the deadline got closer and closer I couldn't bother to fix it :p
The linking thing was something I was too lazy to do :D
the "Pang" sound is not the sound of the bullet hitting it's target, it's the sound of the gun ;)
It does vary, depending on the feeling which method suits better for the page I'm working on. Trial and error gives the best feedback actually. You should have a try which one suits best for you.

Allright folks, the English version is up and ready

I hope you enjoy, at least a little bit :)

strange :)
-
You know LSD is a type of drug, right? :D :p
Anyways, it looks good so far.
Plus, it's "Blam!" when it leaves the gun. In comic books, it's all about the sound effects :D
Looks good so far, though, although the panels that have the blurred images inside are a bit hard to figure out (heck, I can't :D) but maybe that's your intention.
Oye, here's some sound effects:
"Zap"
"Frakka-kow!"
"Poing!"
"Whumph!"
"Chunk!"
"Whiiiirrrrr....
-
it's "blam" in US comics, but "US" isn't equal to "world", go figure :doubt:
-
Yea I know it's a drug ;)
Thanks UT, and Venom... I think :D
Heh, we could argue about sound effects the whole day but the truth is that there are so many different sounds and therefore many different effects :)
Yep, they should be a bit hard to figure out. They're flashbacks drawn like Nina had seen things in that event. She will explain what happens on that day later on the story, but one should be able to figure out something though.

Yeah, I was going to mention that as well, but I see you understand. It also explains the fuzziness of those panels. If I read Finnish, it's probably explained there, but I don't, so I missed it.
Not bad. The character designs could be a touch cleaner, and sharper, but if that's the look you want, go for it. I wish I could read it, might give me an idea of what the hell is going on, but that's my issue, not yours. Personally, I'd try to avoid going to "anime" in the look as it tends toward looking far to cliched for its own good. But hey, if its your chosen style, go with it.
Gee, I said that twice. Funny that.

Thanks for the comments Eishtmo ^_^
The characters are a bit fuzzy since I've just started to learn how to use drawing tablets properly. Also the software was new to me but now I think I've figured it out.
umm, the dialogs should be in English now
