Title: registry cleaners
Post by: Bobboau on May 03, 2003, 05:01:12 pm
I was wondering is there any sort of program out there that will clean out any and all crap out of my registry, preferably without killing all my installed programs?

jv16's tools have been one of the best, I'd recommend trying those. http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/index.php

jv16's registry cleaner is better than most commercial registry cleaners. Although it would be better NOT to install crap in the first place.

Spyware is the big culprit involved with putting all the crap registry in your computer.

Reformat your C drive. You shouldn't have any important programs on your primary drive, anyway, and most programs will recover, you'll just have to reenter serial numbers and ****.

Well, except for your OS. You'll have to reinstall that.

There is an easier way...

Spybot - Search & Destroy, it gets rid of spyware and crapped registry.
