Why do they call it "stealing a soul"? I mean, really. I go and make an honest business transaction, agreed to by all parties involved, fulfil my contractual obligations in good faith, and when I get my fair compensation I'm suddenly some kind of criminal. I mean, really. What happened to the free market?

You have to be a licensed operation using or retailing souls to get one. It's a similar setup as in military supplies, etc. We get enough trouble with the law as it is, I could do without losing my permit.

so short of becomeing a licensed trader there is no one or ware I can get ahold of a few souls?

I operate a brokerage just outside of Washington. It's pretty much just one step up from selling them out of the trunk of my car (which I used to, too). And no, I don't really use them. I mean, outside of a few specialty interests, they're really kinda useless. Kinda interesting to look at at first, keep 'em around your house as really freak-ass decorations, but once you've seen one you've pretty much seen 'em all, and then you just get sick of them.

Though there was this one time, with this dude at the subway... ah, but that was years ago, and it was just a prank.

Well, much safer at least. We had a soul leak in the basement a couple months ago, nearly leveled the block. It was a good thing the janitor was around then, he just swatted 'em with a broom until we got back around.
