Today i made my first freespace ship! Yey! I'd had the software for a while, but only recently de-coded truespace's interface of doom. So i managed Sandwich's tutorial (very helpful), then went on to do the tutorial in the Freespace Oracle, also very helpful. I had a go at a turret with an arm... on a rather strange model:

Anyway, my question is thus - how do i set a field of view for the turrets? As you can see my lovely little tanks are firing in all directions.
Yes, i made the shell too.

You set the field of view in PCS. Check my turreting tutorial in the FAQ for more details.

Ok, another question - glow points for engines - how do i do them? I can make subsystems etc, but how do i get the glowing effect... and for fighters, do the engine exhaust "flames" just animate themselves if i use the relevant thrust texture?
