This is really a follow on from my Derek and Clive thread.
Anyone ever heard of the following people:
Victor Borg(e)
Adge Cutler
Frank Kelly
There's another name at the back of my mind, but I'm damned if I can remember it.

Steven Wright?

Isn't Victor Borge the piano comedian? I had broken my arm in 3 places back when I was in HSchool back in '90 and had to get operated to put in metal rods. Anyway, as a cheering up, my aunt bought me a victor borge video.
The percacets they prescribed me made the video quite entertaining :D

Heh, I have one of his standup routines... hilarious when your stoned.
My favorite joke of his was that a friend of his sent him a postcard with a picture of the world. He flips it over and it reads, "Wish you were here."
Or "you know the feeling when you've leaned too far on a chair and you're just about to fall back? I feel like that all the time..."

That's him!
Never knew he had videos though, I've only heard him on LPs, such as his Tea for Two routine.

"Whoa. I just had amnesia and deja-vu... at the same time."

Bill Hicks. Very rude, very crude and incredibly funny.
EDIT : Forgot to mention dead.
Trying to think of a quote I can actually post on a public board :)

Anybody remember Sam Kinison? He had a few funny stand ups, was one who reminded me of AC/DC. Would usually involve a yelling pun.
Poor guy wrapped himself a around a tree in '92. No more shouting for him...

Hooray. I was going to say Bill Hicks myself but I've been so lazy lately.
As for a quote, try the dinosaurs in the bible skit. That's pretty clean.

Only if you edit out the massive amounts of swearing :) But yeah I did love the bit about Saint Peter opening the trapdoor for anyone who believed in dinosaurs :)
The Yul Brenner bit is fairly clean too :) and the Gulf War bit is still as true today as it was fresh out of his mouth
From Bill's show Relentless
Once again, I was watching the ****ing news, and it really threw me off. It depressed everyone, it's so scary watching the news, how they built it all out of proportion, like Iraq was ever, or could ever possibly, under any stretch of the imagination be a threat to us-wwwwhatsoever. But-watching the news, you never would have got that idea. Remember how it started, they kept talking about 'the Elite Republican Guard' in these hushed tones like these guys were the bogeymen or something. Yeah, we're doing well now, but we have yet to face-THE ELITE REPUBLICAN GUARD. Like these guys were twelve feet tall, desert warriors. KRRASH. NEVER LOST A BATTLE! KRRASH. WE **** BULLETS! Yeah, well, after two months of continuous carpet bombings and not one reaction at all from them, they became simply, 'the Republican Guard.' Not nearly as elite as we may have led you to believe. And after another month of bombing, they went from 'the Elite Republican Guard' to 'the Republican Guard' to 'the Republicans made this **** up about there being guards out there'. We hope you enjoyed your fireworks show.

I love it when he talks about the "station wagon" SCUD missiles. In fact, Bill Hicks should be mandatory for everyone who has a passing interest in humour.

Damn straight. I'm a bit young to remember him being alive, but I found a few old CDs with him on them, and they're fantastic.
Changing the subject slightly, but has anyone seen Rich Hall live? I saw his "Otis Lee Crenshaw" show in Cardiff about 2 months back, and it was the best show I've been to for years! I'd thoroughly recommend it. :)

That dude rocks! Funniest ****er I've ever seen. Hard to believe he was a preacher.
