Title: How many GTD Orion mods are there?
Post by: Corhellion on May 07, 2003, 06:32:08 pm: I was just wondering something, how many orion mods have there been?

I know INF had one, and there was some other one somewhere...

Anyways, I had an idea to build an Orion "super" destroyer!

When I get TS up and running I'll try and build it.

Shame, i thought it was a really nice model:(

Post by: Sobek on May 08, 2003, 05:48:55 am: nah, it was b4 inferno, it was a modifed hull of the orinal orion that looked mirrored on both sides. It was on some website that i think got nuked a long time ago because i could never find it again even after i did numerous searches. :(
Though the Galatea is a nice model... :nod:

unfortunatly it doesn't seem to have been released, although i think the creator released that long fenris like ship elsewhere on his site to the TVWP when they asked.

definitively japanese design for the fighters :)

That Orion posted earlier looks great though. Anyone know the author?

Boreas MOD is already downloadable.

Herc3 and Orion Phase 2 are in progress.
They will be uploaded and released for all FreeSpace fans when finished.
However, ETA is unknown.

That's the first time you've seen Hamano's work? Man, you've been missing out. He's got the first Orion mod that doesn't look like utter ass. Heck, he's got the first Orion of any sort that doesn't look like utter ass. ;)

you have got to see BWO's new orion, the DL will be worth it just for that, although you probly won't even see it while sitting next to some of it's new companions

Yeah, I got it - I just think it's weird. A big departure from usual Terran stuff, though. It's all gunmetal and sticky-out bits. Looks kind of like contemporary warships, 'specially with that big conning-tower thing on the side. Still can't see the Orillion, though...
