another request that's gonna be ignored, but still:
that's a thing that would make some people's life easier:
with that tag, the object can't move at all, space coordinates would be fixed. that way you can do any pof, and it won't move a single pixel left even if a sathanas were to ram it.
voila, that would be useful.
-
That would indeed be useful.
BUT. If a sath did ram it, what would happen to the sath? would it just bounce off, or pass through it as though nothing happened?
-
I think this feature would simulate an infinite (or really, really high) mass. So, the Sath would probably come to a dead stop. If it was moving fast enough it might bounce off slightly.

her, bounce off, obviously. I believe there's already a tag if you want something to let other ships go through a pof?
-
so if you put this flag on a Uly, and a sath hit it, the sath would bounce off.
What is this Uly made of?
-
Meh, that's if you give Jeep the design contract.:D
Well, pre-Chrysler Jeep...
-
just out of curiosity, what would this tag be used for?
besides the tough-as-nails Super Uly :)
(any ideas in particular?)
Bob
lazy

If your Sathanas was entering/exiting sub-space when it hit an immovable object, it'd bounce hella far.
-
Bob: Slapstick routines?
-
Try warping a Gany ring into an unmoveable object.
-
Slapstick routines
I suppose

space stations, large asteroids, landscapes, mostly.
-
this has been on my list
-
couldn't you could just make the pof mass really large?
-
Probably, but it still might move slightly.
-
Wasn't there a problem with flying too close to really high mass objects?
-
Not that I know of, but if you called something "Planet whatever" you would burn up if you flew too close.
