oh, yeah, I know about it already ( first heard of it at portent, then they talked about it in the french whitedwarf :p )
and as my main 40k army is Tau... :D
get the railguns ready :D
-
S'all labout the Dark Angels. Praise be the Emperor!

broadside fan, heh?
actually I think I should have mounted plasma rifle instead of the smart missiles. they sound cool and all, but what's the point in hiding the broadsides? you want them to see everything...
on the other end it's more interesting on the hammerhead, since it's very fast and can use either the main turret or the two smaller ones depending on the target ( and you want a pulse cannon on the hammerheads if you're fighting the space marines :p )
-
Well... smart missiles are good against lightly armoured opponents since you get 5 shots strength 5 ap 5 - ie good for orks and imperial gaurd. Plasma rifles are good against heavilly armoured opponents with s6 and ap2 - can therefore kill a terminator on 2+ with no armour save. Can also rapid fire, even if the model moved. I just chose one at random :)

well, I fight against marines and dark eldars:
against marines, the smart missiles are pretty useless. against dark eldars, I have so many pulse rifles they're useless too :p ( my army is pulse rifle based, I sacrified most of the unit choices to the altar of the firewarriors :D )

yeah, yeah, I know forgeworld. too freaking damn expensive for me. but I registered to the newsletter a long time ago already :)
what do you think of the thunderbolt? :D

[color=66ff00]Forgeworld is a joke, the models are quite well sculpted but the prices are extortionate considering what you're paying for.
I find standard GW models too expensive considering how many of the damn things they sell. If I were inclined to play the game I'd sculpt my own models or bitbash tanks/boats/cars/whatever. The only thing I've ever bought from GW is the cut price first edition WH40K boxed set, I got it for £15 which I though was reasonable. The new version costs what? £50?
Why do you guys pay so much for this stuff?

Because, thanks to the internet, we can get our porn for free

-
And this is the follow up to the great W40k FPS legacy.

SpaceHulk 1+2 are twisting in their graves.
-

coz it's actually cheaper than videogames and you don't scrap it after playing it twice. also coz I like to paint stuff ( and GW minis aren't the only stuff that I paint ), and coz it's cool to just seat around a table with friends, from times to times. I prefer to be that kind of freak ( ;) at sheepy ), than one like CP who locks himself in his room and must glow green, after all that time spent in the dark ( I needed a target, sorry CP :D )

I've got a whole bunch of friends who have 40K collections. It's not so much the money, but the time which amazes me... they spend hours painting those things. Gotta admit, it does look cool.
