That specs are quite up to date as it is, but if you feel the need to spend some money, you can never have too much disk space.

Hey i have a soundcard a onboard sound.
-
ACK! onboard Sound.... how horrid....
-
Perhaps then you should consider upgrading to a real soundcard first before looking at anything else ;)
-
What for a new soundcard, cpu and video card can you advice me ?
-
anything is better than an onboard sound card....
-

Crappy drivers, hardware that doesn't perform as claimed...
Seriously, look for something based around a Crystal Semiconductor DSP like the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, VideoLogic SonicFury or one of Hercules' offerings.
-
OK thx guys.
-
bah, SB16 PCI, best card ever :D
-
hercs cards ain't bad either

I used to have one, when I changed my motherboard, had to leave it behind :( made the big mistake: I bought a SB128 instead. never buy a SB128, people, stick to the 16!
btw, Free Terran: SB16:
Creative Labs, Sound Blaster 16

I have find the audigy 2 for 89 € know anyone a lower price ?

Depends on your motherboard. The reviews for the NForce 2 boards were pretty good actually.
-
You're wanting to upgrade that machine?
I'd sell my own mother for such a Beast!

You know dude, that's not really funny. :doubt:
Hey i have a soundcard a onboard sound.
Pffff...that's crap. Get a SB Live! at least
-
...Case mods always provide an intresting DIY project, not much point upgrading the decent hardware you have already.

They may not be capable of 24 bit/96Khz but at least Hercules don't lie about it. The SB Audigy was a sham, plain and simple and its successor isn't all that much better.

You've obviously never tried an nForce2 board. :) Onboard 6.1 audio = teh 0wn! :D It doesn't even hog CPU resources! (benchmarks have shown a 5fps drop when sound is enabled)
-
well i didn't want to confuse the issues by saying "anything is better than a AC97 onboard Sound card"
-
Yeah well, you made it sound like all onboard sound sucks. ;) I do agree, AC97 blows chunks. :D
-
OK thy guys
And i have buy the SB Audigy 2 24bit/196Khz i think that was a good choise.
-
The only place the Audigy 2 is truly 24 bit/192Khz is in the advertisements. It's far better in this regard than it's predecessor was but it isn't the 24 bit end-to-end card Creative would like you to think it is.
-
Ohh FT, not to drag this off-topic, but could you please use a brighter blue color in the future? That shade of blue is kinda hard to read.
-
yeah, not very good choice on a black background actually. well it might not be that hard to read, but when you have bad eyes like mine, it just doesn't help.
