Title: Is it possible to get a ship to cloak?
Post by: WS-Thunder on December 05, 2001, 01:47:00 pm
I was wondering about if it is possible to make a ship cloak so that you can't see it at all? I know it is possible for ships to dissapear but I'm not sure how to get a ship to cloak. Is it possible to do this?

not on Voodoo cards.... i worked on this a very long time ago, but had clipping probs.

also worth noticing that the invisible texture can be shot through....

You can fake cloaking in a limited way with ship-vanish and multiple ships with the same name. I've been playing around with a variation on this to simulate fighters with intrasystem jump capability.
