Silence! I thought they were just shots.
Anyway, this might grab more attention.

Oh yes. Flamers are ready and standing by. Get yourself some glasses. You could have posted that in that thread I mentioned instead of spamming the forum. In fact, you make more threads for 3 days than anyone else here does in the course of a month or more.
-
Ahh, stop your moaning.

Oh a funny dude. Oh well...

Razor, quit the flaming. I for one, like this thread. I got a trailer from here.
Now for comments:
One word: Physics. Wow. Yes.
The graphics are... well, today's standard, but the physics and the AI. If that wasn't scripted, then it rocks.

Please...do enjoy the trailer, but was it really necessery to make a whole thread about it? Oh yes! Indeed it was. Of course, it wouldn't get much attention if it was posted in an allready made HL2 thread. The poster of course, wouldn't get enough credit.

Exactly. I never noticed it before the thread.
-
Quite. In the title of this thread it is clear that there will be a trailer, the other thread could just easilty have been an essay of someone's anguish in waiting for it to come out.
And Razor, about me starting loads of new threads. Most of the time my new threads are about a quite diverse subject , so if I posted in an existing thread I would be accused of derailment, so what more do you want?
-
Well, I didn't know there was a HL2 trailer out. Cheers. :)
-
bah, the link is down :(
-
Must've been over used. However, there are some streaming trailers, I'll dig up a link.

Don't we all. But needs must.
-
I use Ausgamers.com - incredibly reliable servers - though they probably have crappy speeds for the rest of you. Meanwhile, I got the Halo 2 E3 footage. Fricken' sweet!!
-
hmmmm.... might have a look at that

It's a shakycam, but not that bad. Just grab it, it's 20mb or so.
-
meh, 20 meg ain't too bad over 56k...
(i'm still rolling headz at telstra)
EDIT: *finishes downloading halo E3 thingy*
:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:
*combusts*
That, people is why i own a Xbox...;)
-
I thought you'd like it. :D It's pretty damn sweet, what Bungie's done with it.
Got me drooling just for Halo on PC... I think it's Gearbox that's doing it. There's an E3 feature on that at GameSpy, too.
-
yeah, halo's the reason why i bought an xbox...

It was going to be my reason, but it turned out that I bought a digicam instead. I could never handle the xbox controller anyway, my hands are too small. :sigh:
-
the controller s has been released... it's at least half the size of the original.....
on another note.... the gamecube controller's too small for my hands...:p

The Controller S? That's news to me. Oh well... with Halo coming out on PC, and a new box coming up for me at the end of the HSC, I don't see any need for me to buy an XBox. ;)

Halo2
-
Bah, it'll get to PC eventually. :p Can't play it any time near release because of exams anyway. :)
-
Razor, I suggest that you restrain yourself in future. Take this a final warning.

Meh, I was never one to own a console just for one game.
-

A mate of mine introduced me to that yesterday (he owns a GC, his brother owns a PS2 and another friend has an XBox so I've got access to all three in some small way). It looked like a fun game but still more of the same. I just like to get a bit more "into" my games in a way only the PC can allow. Don't get me wrong, some masterful things have been done with consoles but not enough to make me want to spend £100+ on one plus the £40 of the game.
Back to the topic matter, HL2 looks... well ****ing amazing. The engine is easily the best I've ever seen - looking better than even Doom 3s or Unreals at this stage, it's all smooth and incredibly immersive. I don't usually say this about games without seeing them in action these days but this one will definitely be a masterpiece.

If the Gravity Gun can pick up people too, I see hours of mindless fun...

I don't agree with you on that. Better than Unreal Warfarte maybe, but DoomIII beats it by a long shot. So does DX:IW.
But that's not why we're waiting for it, right?

Yeah, some of us actually like good games. Quaint, aren't we?
