Title: 3DS SET file for Truespace 3?
Post by: Sesquipedalian on May 15, 2003, 01:31:42 pm
I've just downloaded TS 3.2 so I can try converting a bomber myself.  When I try to import the 3ds file, it asks for a 3DS .SET file.  What is that, and where do I find such a thing?  Since I don't know where to find this .set file, it loses all my texturing info.

I've no knowledge of either format, but I'd hazard a guess that there's an option to generate such a file in whatever application made the model.

Sid.

Dunno if this helps you, but a while back I downloaded a program for converting between 3d file formats - AccuTrans 3D.  No, I do not have the web site, but I think I found it at Cnet.

It works, and is pretty easy to use.  It can also generate set files if you want them, but as it does a half decent conversion to cob format...
