Title: Help....
Post by: Anaz on December 08, 2001, 02:58:00 pm
Ok, I did use the search function, first of all.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Ok, my question is this. How does one get subsystems to work? I used PCS to make the subsystem points on the ship, they show up as valid in modelview, but the tables don't work, or it is just not showing up in fred 2. I copy 'n' pasted another entry, modified it to serve my purposes, and try to load it up in fred, and the subsystem box shows up blank!!!! wtf? I really need help on this.

Some more details:

I am using the drone bomber, it is classified as corvette, it has all of the usual subsystems for a bomber, plus fighterbay.

Please help!!!

Ok, I don't know exactly what you've done wrong without seeing the subsystem data in the .pof, and the .tbl entry you're using, but it sounds like the subsystem names you've used in the table don't correspond with what you typed in PCS.

Send me the .pof and .tbl entry for the ship and I'll take a look a it. Email in profile.

Do like me, often make a backup of your data folder.

MadBomber, I didn't mean to uninstall fs2, it was the STUPID TBP UNINSTALLER or lack therof

I actually got all my campaign's tables deleted once when installing Derelict; guess I can't really blame Kazan, since I should have made backups for these situations...
