I've been thinking of trading up from my 19" monitor to a 21"... i'm wondering what's a good choice?
It has to be a CRT monitor tho...
my current monitor is a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 955DF (pure flat tube)

Unbroken's always nice.
-
yeah, getting a monitor in one piece is a good thing:p
-
i hard hitachi makes good monitors
-
Well, I personally think that anything more than 19" is excessive... hurts my neck looking all around it trying to find my mouse pointer. :D But I suppose it would be pretty cool for all your digital art doohickeys. Go with Sony, don't mind being broke afterwards. ;)
-
well, my 19" begins to flicker @ 1600 X 1200(60hz0, so i tend to stay at 1280x1024(75hz)
-
well, I've constantly heard how Samsung has nice quality vs. price...
-
i wasn't saying anything bad about it... it's just that with all the graphic work i'm gonna end up doing... well i'll need the extra screen real-estate...
-
err... I was just suggesting another Samsung *checks if they have a 21"* yeah, they do. $389 or so.

Got a 19" TFT that works fine at that resolution ;)

To each his/her own :) I prefer TFT.
-
indeed, i'll think i might stick with the 19" as the samsung 21" model isn't a perfect flat tube..;)
now, those 24" TFT's....:drevil:

What you need is some sort of Uber Projector, that can handle 3200 X 2400, and can project onto the side of a building!
BTW, if you put 640*480 on a 21" monitor, how big would the start button be?
-
Big, believe me.
Large monitors look crap at lower resolutions, similarly a 15 inch running at 1600x1200 is also a terrible idea.

Mine's having difficulty with 1024*768! I'll have to get a new one, the lower right corner flickers like it's at about 32Hz.

Is it common to find an annoying pink pixel in the centre of TFT monitors? I know my Dad's last two have had them, and have had problems with like a ghost effect on the screen. Those two things put me off buying one.
