Title: Very basic Truespace question
Post by: Assassin on May 18, 2003, 07:45:39 am
What rotation do I want the object at, so that the front is where the front should be in FS2? :D

Oh yeah... any tutorials dealing with how to make ships for FS2 in Truespace would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Check the modding section of my FAQ for all the ones I know about. Ramapage's one has moved but there's a thread about that hereabouts anyway.

Thought I would save space by posting this question on this thread.

I want an engine glow! I'm not worried about flame thrusters or anything, I just want a nice little glow. I have Truespace, PCS, and FS2View. What do I do?

Thanks.

You have to use PCS to do glows. And I would also suggest you DL ModelView32, which allows you to see where the glows are.

You have to use the 'Thrusters' section of PCS. I'm sure someone else can explain it better!

I have both of those programs. I add the engine glows using PCS and then when I load up ModelView32 to move it with a visual reference to the right spot, I see that the Thrusters option after cliking edit POF is greyed out. Also, when I click to see thrusters I see the purple line but there is no star. On the Perseus fighter, Thrusters was also greyed out but the purple line had a nice purple star with it.

Any ideas, anyone? :hopping:

Its okay, I figured it out after glancing upon a little heading saying "radius", with a little figure saying "0" next to it.

:nervous:

I'm more of a born again newbie, since i've had FS1 since the day of its release and was on the VBB over 3 or 4 years ago, and used to work for Ground Freespace and whatever FS2 watch was called before it was FS2 watch.

Relearning is a humbling experience. :(
