This is a early version still working on itbut this is what i got so far, give ya oppinion so i can improve it to your likes.

don't make the radar display like that, it's much harder to read, in fact.

Uhh..
Doesnt it have to be a certain color so the player can change it ingame?

Yeah you can change it in the hud options

Needs a ring showing where behind and in front are.......
Blips on the outer part being behind you, inside it are in front of you, and right on it being beside/above/below you...

a clean one, w/o grid is the most important thing. The tBP HUD does have a green, and it's difficult reading it.

 As long as you change the scripts.tbl and the HUD layout,  u can move the radar to a different location right??

Script.tbl ????? you mean the core files, somewhere in there are the coordinates of each hud animations you can edit them but i heard that it is illigal otherwise i would have already done that.

you can(thanks for the info skullar) move them left right and down(only a bit) with some clever pcx editing.

Ummm...sorry if you don't want to answer, but, if you could, would you please?
How do make or edit the HUD?
Also, I like either the first or second one, however, I'm just curious about the weapon loadout, after all, HW:C or HW never had a railgun  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

? tbl files are here to be edited, nothing ilegal in tweaking them (just like the ships tbl, the stars tbl and so on)

They have a railgun (machinegun it stands in the manuel or you can call them mass drivers)

Oh and making the a new hud is easy just use vpview to extract the ani's and yous aniview to extract the pcx files go edit those in psp or any other program or make a new one (they must have the same pallete of te original fs and once done make a ani of it with anibuild and make sure they have the same name as the orig fs.

think i'm gonna write a mod guide for it, got a weapons guide ready just waiting for DC to put i on the site.

Yeah i know that but the coordinates of the hud ani's are not in a table file as far as i can remember, i'l ask the britsem brothers there our programming nerds
