Title: Another Modelling contest?

For variety's sake, I was browsing the HLP main page and I came across "Model Contest". Intrigued, I didst click upon the link, and verily, I was amazed by what I saw.

What is more, I have been here for over a year, and cannot remember this contest, when was it held. Half of the entrants I've never heard of, so it must have been a long time ago.

I propose that another contest be held, in order to re-vitalise the community, and perhaps get some work done towards those campaigns.

What say you, admins?

It was running when I got here, so check my joined date thingy.

And there are to be no modelling contests until my precious is finished.

Anyway, I'd like to see a new modfel contest. But only if modders are willing to participate.

I think they could be anything. Take a look at the old contest, there are some non-FS ships there.

No offense to your being capable of modeling stuff other than ships, but in my opinion, the contest really should be restricted to ships, even if not FS-ships, they really should be ships. This is a ships community. :)

Well that cocktail party is a ship, in a way.

It has engines, weapons, and behaves like any other space pirates' craft.

Well, I've been considering one for a while.  If there's interest I'll put together some rules.  A couple would include:

-Must be an original work, ie no making a Star Trek ship or anything, unless it's an original ship never seen before.
-Must include WIP shots to show that it's new for the contest.
-As before, there'll be a basic and advanced category.
