Title: The Eurovision Song Contest 2003 Thread (no culture involved)
Post by: Stunaep on May 24, 2003, 11:57:58 am
In the good tradition of HLP, the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 (that now officially hasn't got anything to do with singing) will be reviewed, bashed, gushed, and generally portrayed here. Welcome everyone, I'm Stu, your host for this evening, and on my right, frantically playing Diablo II, is Ukulele/Teno'/The Friend Of The Plumber Guy/The Man With The Dog/Any Other Deeply Insultive Name.

Now, the indescriptevily name Song Contest is still 4 hours away, so feel free to post pictures of horny lesbians kissing on the meantime.

Admins, please, refrain from locking this thread until 0200 hours, EST.

Well, its become a tradition to watch the Eurovision ala Terry Wogan. Its always fun to listen to his comments. Though you are right, the song contest that has NOTHING to do with singing!
Sorry, I don't have any pics of lesbians kissing but if you play Niobe in ETM you get to see Jada Pinkett Smith kiss the French woman from Matrix Reloaded! TWICE! :D

Wooyah! I'm here!

*makes a note about Stus grandma who is obviously dead/stuck in the elevator shaft*

Anyways, I think now is the time to place our bets on what will happen with the lesbian couple.

*makes note that Teno' thinks that 8+8=12*

My bet's on that they can't even perform their song, try to kiss themselves, at end up like Pugatcheva in '94

Of course, the Russian delegation did ask if they could perform in the nude. The EBU councilor (estonian, btw), said that it wasn't

*pulls out deneuralizer*

You have not heard anything about Teno's dog. You have heard nothing about two lesbians who prefer to have sex instead of rehearsing their song. You will, however, go home, find a boyscout, and send him on a plane to Abu Dhabi

Turkey gives Germany 5-7 points vice versa.
Turkey gives cyprus 10 points.

Damn forgot the rest.
Oh yeah, Finland gets 0-5 points from everyone.

Post the other rules, I forgot...

Wogan's gonna have a ****ing field-day when tAtU come on.

The funniest thing he's done though has to be Children In Need one or two years ago. Gaby Roslin was co-hosting it and was flirting like **** with every guy there because she was wasted. Terry's like "Stop making a whore of yourself you bloody bimbo" on live TV. It was sooo ****ing funny.

They didn't win because they're a bunchy of shouty schoolgirls... I mean, for christ sake.  It's one thing to pull of the whole lesbians in the rain theme for a single video, but making a career out of it?  I don't bloody thinks so.

I had the misfortune of watching a miniscule portion of that bloody show, and I have only just realised how truly, utterly awful it is.... I mean, I figured (not having really watched any of it for years) it was just yer bog-standard pop.  but nope, it truly is the sort of mind-numbing awfulness that makes the Cheeky Girls look like Motzart.

And the British entry?  Utter pish (and totally out of tune, hoho!).  Thank god - I'd hate to think anything that bad could be successful... although looking at Pop Idol and that reality crap, it's a pretty forlorn hope.
