Hi I am just starting out to model for Freespace.. Ive been able to sort out quite a few of the specifics for Truespace, but I was wondering if there is an example COB model somewhere that has the majority of its subsystema and other things worked out? so I can use it as study material? I was only able to convert the basic geometry and turret information from POF constructos POF->COB export. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Most subsystems are entered as data into PCS directly. The only kinds of subsystems you really need to worry about are anything which can be destroyed seperately from the rest of the model (things like turrets) or which rotate. Things like Engines, Comms etc are added on in PCS/Modelview rather than in TS itself.
My FAQ has a very simple model in the turreting tutorial but that might be too simple for you.

you can convert backwards original models to cob also check the tutorials on the post above about lods
