here's the problem: when i add a new weapon to the weapons.tbl the game runs but crashes if i select weapons in the tech-database. all is correct, infact if i undo all modifications the game continues to crash there. the only solution i found is to reinstall the game (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/mad.gif)
after reinstall the new weapon works good.
anyone has the same problem?
(ah, weapons.tbl is under the 380k limit)

Once you have made the modification, start the game, and create a new pilot. If you try to play with the old one, the weapons tech database crashes, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

I have the same problem with one of my tables, but the problem seems to occur for any pilot (regardless of which tables when creating the pilot) for some reason. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)

yea the trick of creating a new pilot works, it doesn't crash now ...but the new weapons are not there (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
uhm.. one reinstall for every weapon... WEIRD! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wtf.gif)
