That's the question !
I will upload some of the original V models converted to 3DS format from my growing collection.
Any interest on that ?
Preferences maybe ?
The current selection:
Orion
Deimos
Fenris
Aeolus
Hatshepsut
Sobek
Aten
Sathanas
Moloch
Rakshasa
Perseus
Herc II
Boanerges
Medusa
Tauret
Mara
Nephilim
Consider this as a poll, or something like that.
(The SD Ravana is already up as an example)

if you want all of them up, but don't have the webspace, mail them to me, and i'll host them.

I might be able to host those in the list, but not more.
Of course it would be useful to have more V models up, so I'll be back to you later.
I'm still hesitating what to do with the textures. The best solution would be to pack all models with their texture files, but that's not too efficient, 'cos several copies of the same maps would have to be stored in different packages.
Easiest would be to have a reference to the names , saying which textures the user should extract from the VP-s for that model. That wouldn't help too much though, 'cos model conversion is relatively easy, but extracting, converting and renaming the textures is a lot of work. (Most of them must be renamed due to MAX's file name restrictions).
I alreday have the above models with textures, but some LOD and debris textures are missing. The 3DS file has the reference , and MAX will prompt the user for them. I suppose most ppl would use the models for making renders, and LODs / debris are not important. If someone needs them, there is only a few textures to extract manually.
What do you suggest ?

put them all up in one big zip with the textures, so no copy's are stored.
and make smaller packages for ships seperately, with their own textures.
i'll host it all, i've got 100mb at swooh.com, and only 3MB or something like that used.

all of these files are available at http://swooh.com/peon/kasperl/models/
the zip is a pack of all models, the rest should be self-explanatory.
i'll leave the rest of the explaining to Grunt

I'm bored atm, so i'm going to convert all ( yes all ) the FS2 meshes to LW format.
