Is there a MOD anywhere out there for FS1 that has the ST ships? I never purchased it and I doubt i'll ever find it in stores. Is there a pack with all the ships for FS1?
-
The FS Port's Silent Threat. Yes, beleive it or not, we did port it. :)
Now, if you are willing to wait a few weeks untill I can get around to fredding the last mission or so, You can play the real Silent Threat.
-
As I know very many of ST ships are used in FS2(Seraphim, Hades, Loki etc.)
Or am I wrong? I ask just because in Hungary, Silent Threat is an unkown thing, I have never seen it on the shelves of a shop.
Grunt can confirm me, he doesn't have ST, too.
-
good point actually. I beleive all of the new ships from ST are in FS2, bar the Hades, which is in the intro movie but not the game itself (other than fred)
-
yup. in ST, the new ships were the loki, the zeus, the hades and the seraphim.

I think the Hades was only some sort of Bonus ship, which the player[FREDer] can use. As I know, there was the Hades rebellion, and there was only one of those built, and destroyed.
Of course there is one another Hades, but it is not a warship, it is a member. :)

and there's the one in the FS2 intgro too, but in fact that's not another hades, that's Volition screwing up :p

I thought Intercrap made the movies, and that the Hades was their fault.
-
you mean the whole intro was their fault.
-
I liked the intro. oo;;;

It wasn't bad. It just wasn't right. Kind of like Command and Conquer Generals.
-
Neither did I manage to buy it TopAce. (yes, I'm a magyar as well)
Although CD-Galaxis did sell the Battle-Pack or smg. which did include FS-ST next to FS1, but according to most - and my experiences as well - it isn't worth buying for the campaign, which s**** outright, for being lame and flat.
I liked the FS2 movies too - although they do have a lot of "mistaken" elements...

the fs2 cutsceens were no way nearly as good as the FS1 ones were

Agreed, all cutscenes in FS2 are just talking. I remember FS1's Hall Fight movie when we could see who we are fighting against, and how shortly they can wipe up five soldiers. The end movie of FS1 is also better.

Huh? While I'll agree that the FS1 movies are in general better the movie where the saths blow up Capella is almost as good as anything as anything in FS1 and is definately a better end movie than in FS1 (I know it isn't technically the end movie but only cause there were two possible outcomes at the end).

The mve format sometimes really distorts in the later.
In the first one the Lucifer's texturex are too low-res for render.

I am satisfied with the quality of FS1's cutscenes. Regardless they are not the best to make a snapshot from it and use it as a Windows background at 1024x768 resolution. :(
