Well, I'm using this mission to apply as Fredder for Inferno, but since it won't be used for any official project I'm just posting some screenies ;) the mission is in the beta test fase (already found a victim for that :p).

:D
(I died 4 times before I succefully completed the mission myself. I lowered the difficulty somewhat :p)

Nice. :)
Will a download be offered?
-
When was the last time anyone released a single mission, anyway?
-
Dunno. It should happen more often. This situation is perfect - make a mission to apply to be on a campaign, and then release it to the rest of the community.
-
I made a mission a while back. I posted it but it died without comment, and now I've deleted it becuase I thought nobody would ever care. I hope you're all happy *cries*
-
Indeed, very happy, sah!
I make the occasional mission, but never release 'em because I use too many mods.
-
Well this was it, I was just using the base FS2 stuff. I wanted to come up with something short and entertaining using only the tools FS2 gives you.
It wasn't a bad mission, actually. You and a wing of Vasudans were sent to capture an NTF C3 frigate lurking in some asteroids. I shouldn't have deleted it :sigh:
-
You mean, deleted it from your own computer? :(
Can you find where you posted it on the forum?
-
Jeez T, you go all out when you make missions :p
(perfect for Inferno though ;) )
-
I released one, quite a while back. It was for FS1 though. And I actually built Operation: Underground around the premise I had come up with for the mission.
-
Deus Ex Machina was originally one big mission.
Fortunes of War started out as a single mission, and is now a 30-odd mission campaign that's hibernating a wee bit at the moment. ;)
-
The premise of FoW still makes me wonder... :p
-
It's kinda the original FS1 campaign told from a different perspective, with some more cool stuff thrown in.
-
Yea, the most confusing part would be the whole second Lucifer deal. The second Lucifer was in Derelict :p ;)
-
Okkkaaaay... any more opinions on my mission? It will be released soon btw :p

Nice screenies. Cool beams. Stuff blows up.
I can't really say more until I play it, but it looks polished and well done.

I never really realized, but on those screenshots it really shows...
the view is really cluttered by a lot of crap!
that HUD is really terrible :/
all those gauges take twice the place they need, etc...

Remember that these screenies are smaller then in-game. In game the space between the hud displays is larger and thus your screen is less cluttered.

Twenty minutes of searching says no.

-
Meh, no real rush but the sooner its tested the sooner I can release it and apply for Fredder positions at projects.

I presume you mean the gameport. If not that could be your problem.
Have you tried connecting it via USB? (Assuming you have USB).
-
Meh, screw it...

no, i ment serial, i know, it's wierd, but this thing has both serial and USB plugs. i'll try USB, some games don't work that way though. i'll try anyway.
-
I could give it a try, as I like playing these standalone missions anyway. :D Send it to me at [email protected] .

Everybody dies once. :) But then forever.
Your four deaths were surely of the the powerfullness of the Ursa. Apparently, not the best flight craft. Did fighters take you down or cruiser/installation etc?

I usually died when I was targeted by the AAA turrets of 2 cruisers, the station and a deimos at the same time.

One word springs to mind:
"Ouch!"

You do not understand how I mean 'everybody dies once'

Look it up. :)
Hebrews 9:27 (NIV) (http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=HEB+9&language=english&version=NIV) - "[M]an is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment..."
Everybody dies once.
