I just made a search to determine the active contingent of members - those who have more than 25 posts, and have posted during the last 3 months.

I got 270 names. Not bad at all, I might say.

Yeah, the UPL had problems, and nobody wanted to start any wars, so I kind of faded away for the most part.

the MOD control panel?  don't you have to have access to the ADMIN control panel to do this?

No, that's not bad at all. I wonder if the admins could make that figure (ie. those who have >25 posts, posted recently) on the front page, next to the official member number. Like this:

[q]Members: 1,168 (active: 270), Threads: 15,140, Posts: 290,641[/q]

I mean, you can customise vB quite a bit, right? Anyway, just an idea. :)

Yeah, you just use some php and MySQL commands to make it find all the users where "postcount / (date - joindate) > X".

Basically, where it finds their average post-count and selects all that're above X.

Then you steal the last-post code from the profile page and do a "(date - lastpost) > Y" thingy to weed out everyone who hasn't posted in a while.

270's a good amount I'd say... too many active members screw my memory to hell.
