Anyway, on the real topic. While managing my SA and Inferno time, I'm working on a campaign of my own, Darkness Rising. That's not the real concern.
There is going to be music, and here (http://www.swooh.com/peon/Nuclear1/blah.mp3) is a sample of it.

swooh isslow today, i will comment in a few minutes.

Very slow.
Did you mix it yourself? (And the track seems to be an extra minute long, I got nothing past 1:05 )
-
first opinion, bit to much techno, kinda overdid the drums, but nice.
also, kinda repetitive. and indeed, the last minute is empty.

Uuhm... Thats from Aliens...:nervous:

Last minute empty? :nervous:
Crappy editing by me, I guess. Anyway, Dark gets the cookie. It's Futile Escape from Aliens.
Oh, just checked. Apparently, I set the finish marker at 1:05, but forgot to delete the rest. Anyway, anything beyond that is sorta the same.

You know, if you're going to use Aliens music, I suggest also trying out the one called "Going after Newt"! It has a great start and then calms down but always has this tempo of urgency, perfect for a Spy mission on the Shivans, or a large assault and waiting for something to happen. I also got a whole list of movie music I was going to use in an now defunct campaign.
Basically anything from Aliens is good. Danny Elfman's Planet of the Apes "main Title" theme is excelent for a shivan onslaught mission, cause it has this alien raspy drum thing going which I love and then it goes all hectic, perfect for heat of battle. And if you want to go for that 80's cliché action hero B-sci-fi movie appeal to teens feel, I suggest Megadeth's "99 ways to die". Great song, but damn funny when used in a freespace mission. :D
Orff's "Mars" is pritty good, if not used alot.

Going After Newt? Oh, yeah. That's my third fave on this one (next to Bishop's Countdown and Futile Escape). That would be good for special ops missions.
