Boring... :doubt:

I know Terran designs are boxy, but put some creases and folds, nooks and crannies in there, please. It needs more to it.

PS. Trashman... have you ever read Stephen King's The Stand?

You need more texture Variation, not just on these models, but on the entire Trashman shipset. You can't be using more than a dozen or so textures for an entire campaigns worth of new ships.

And I'm not going to argue with GE. Simplicity of design is fine if you want to be ultr realistic, but at the cost of model quality, reality is too great a price.

Also, did you use planar UV mapping like VA suggested that time? Coz these look cubic, and Planar can make things look a lot better - go check out the Virtuoso Private Yacht on the TI page if you don't believe me - that was one of his earlier experiments with planar UV mapping and it came out awesome.

The freighter needs more mesh details, and more/much bigger engines.  Prolly just take the lid off the cargo hold area entirely.

As for the constructor, make that underside hangar bigger, more open, and take the top off of it so the dock is more easily accessible.  So that means the top front control tower needs to be a bit forward of the underside tower, and the bridge thing (rear top tower) goes back to above the engine array.  And I know it's a utility ship, but give it some guns.  Maybe only a simple point-defense array, but something to defend itself with.

All i see are prety pics of ships and interface stuff and effects but. You never show us some screenies from a good mission. I can't be arsed with the interface. i rather have a good story/missions then prety interface shots.

We need first models before we can make new missions and.....a demo is under construction ;)

Normaly a demo doesn't need 400 new ships. If you have a mission from then demo play it and make a few screenshots. Then post them, maby i'll get impressed.

Meh, you guys can talk all you want but I think the construction ship looks good ;)

The freighter isn't my favorite though...

1. I still use box + planar projection.
2. These are only quickly textured test versions.
3. The Construction ship will have weapons - lots of them
4. The Cargo Ship is a BIG one - it will have 4 turrets on each side + 4 down and 6 up.
It has armoured pannels, so the cargo is protected from 3 sides.
It's so big, that it carries several cargo containers conected in one big one.

are you using same design in all your ships because all your ships look same

I think the correct term would be similar...

I really don't see that my ships look the same(apart from textures, but most of them are only tempotrary).

The design of some ships is similar, which is only logical and relistic.

Do keep in mind that currently I'm the only modeler in the DOTA team and that we lack texturers.
