Title: I got Tribes 2!

Post by: CP5670 on June 15, 2003, 02:56:35 pm: I play this fairly often; it is my main multiplayer game these days. The teamwork stuff mainly shows for more organized clan games and such things. In normal servers there is little coordination within the teams and it's more or less the usual fragfest, but a good one nevertheless. :D

when starcraft came out, it was expensive. a few months later you could pick it up for $20.00. Same thing happened when Broodwar came out. now, about three years after its release, you can get Starcraft AND Broodwar for less than $10.

wait a while, it'll go down even more. it's a good game, but not really worth it, go for Tribes

Post by: Anaz on June 15, 2003, 10:27:54 pm: For $10? I woulda bought it. Tribes 2 is 1337. You get vehicles. And everyone knows that when you add (good) vehicles to an FPS it makes it so much more fun. Especially when one of the vehicles can drop carpet bombs...

Post by: CP5670 on June 15, 2003, 11:54:51 pm: I think the game's main fault is that there is no real single player campaign (just the botmatch, and the bots are nothing special). For $10 it's a good deal though, as the multiplayer is still arguably some of the best around in the FPS world and there are some good mods out there.

Also, one of the vehicles in this is called the Shrike. :D
