I never really had much appreciation for good photography until recently, but even I know this is good stuff :D

I like the last one really!
-
the first one is cool but the second one is fantastic :)

[color=66ff00]Those pictures are excellent.
We're sending you down to Gotham, there've been Bat sightings.

It's not until you see good photography that you can appreciate it as an art form.
I really liked all of those.
-
wow stryke, you ARE good:nod:
top stuff:yes:
-
Yeah, that top one is totally sweet, as well as those deer (or are they impalas?). Nice work.
-
[ot] Check your pm box JFK[/OT]
and i'll say this again, nice work styrke, keep it up..
-
I love the mailboxes in the snow, it's such a simple picture but that's the beauty of it, you captured that snowy day feeling absolutely brilliantly.
-
Uh... thanks!
Er, here's one that didn't upload right the first time. It's fat, but one of my personal favorites (if only because I didn't have to get up at some unholy hour of the afternoon to take it). And there it goes! (http://www.wpierce.com/wlp/ph3.jpg)

it looks like a diorama :D
or a plan out of an Hitchkock ( her... never know how it's written ) movie.

Cool. Some very nice photos you took. If I had a digital camera it'd be fun to try stuff like that.
-
Neat

Di... gi... tal?
:p
Short of an EOS 1D, a decent SLR and a scanner's a much better buy. And the 1D is a tiny god, reserved only for the obscenely wealthy who spend all their time taking pictures.

1D? Is that better or worse than a 10D? 'Cause that's the camera my boss is bent on getting for company photography.
Your pics rock. Focal length is everything.... well, almost everything.
-
yeah, there's film, too.
-
There's a 10D?
[checks page]
Oh, I suppose there is. That's a new one. Anyway, 6 megapixels as opposed to 11. I'd say the 1D is better. Though Canon and B&H are gonna have to work out whether they're talking about the D or DS...

:eek2:

Better'n film. See why I want one so bad?:D

Things are really getting exciting in the arena of photography nowadays... since, as you've just pointed out, digital is genuinely beginning to rival film in terms of quality. I'll be getting a 5-megapixel compact myself at the end of the year - not quite up there with film, but damn good with what we've had in past years.
-
Depends who you're talking about. Probably the majority of pro photographers loathe digital. They consider it a form of cheating, I think.
-
I suppose I don't blame them - I mean, the skills & techniques they've honed over the decades are now becoming less 'mystical', if that's the way you want to put it, with high-quality photography becoming far more accessible. I think it's great, personally.
