looks more like a refitted Constelation to me, but the engineering hull doesn't match.

Yep, its an Excelsior. It has the thick football player neck:D
-
Excelsior :nervous:

Yeah the Enterprise B used the Excelsior design IIRC.
Used to play Klingon Academy, and in the demo you could get this program to let you use an Excelsior, Senator, or the Bird of Prey in multiplayer. You could then kick everyone's ass who was using the puny Constellation and the like.

you shouldn't even need to say that. i had just assumed everyone would know. it's like having pic of a car and saying: "a car, if i'm not mistaken".

A Carl, if I'm not mistaken. :p

If nobody had posted anything, i would have no idea what class that ship is, nor would i care. :p

'Stunned speechless that someone would not realise that was the Excelsior class, '
Kasperl, did you watch Star Trek 3 and/or 6?
And BTW, the Constellation had no engineering hull, and four Nacelles.

[color=66ff00]Excelsior: the most beautiful starfleet ship design, in my humble opinion of course.
The enterprise B is a modified excelsior class vessel with different nacelles and a modified secondary hull. The saucer section also has larger impulse engines if I remember correctly. I still prefer the standard excelsior though.
Nicely done Vyper but the colour separation about 1.2cm from the top looks a bit strange, if it was intentional you should make it more stark.
