Looks pretty good for 452 polys.
A Terran/Vasudan design, I guess.
Not entirley sure, what to do with it, though. As in, what type of ship.
Flame on!
-
Nice work
-
Shotgun!!
-
Very nice, I think it would work as
1) With old-looking textures, it would look like an old relic battleship, maybe TVWP could use it if you'd let them.
2) With newer-looking textures, could look like a blockade-runner type, as a corvette.
Its a very nice design, with different textures it would look like a lot of different things, :)
-
Very nice. I like.
-
Looks neat. Needs textures, obviously. You could make it a hybrid, if you rounded out certain bits and gave them a scaly texture where appropriate...... or maybe just applied 180 smoothing.
Promising, regardless.
-
looks like a hibred, ether small (<1000) or realy big (>3500)
-
Great model!
It'd look good terran.
-
Make the nose pointier (perhaps even a little double-thing on the end like on the Hapheasut), and that ships really looks Vasudan.
I mean, with a few slight modifications and a Vasudan textuing job, that could be the next Destroyer or Corvette. I really like the design, and since its really hard to achieve a design that looks Vasudan (guess you stumbled on to it, eh) I dont think this should be "wasted" as a terran design since theres alerady plenty of those, and this ship really looks like a natural extension of Vasudan design..

-
Add a few really big turrets and you'll have a lean looking battleship!;7
AND - can I have that ship? Looks awensome! Could fit in the DOTA rather nicely...
-
Very pretty. Call it Heart of Gold
*waits*
-
If some of the square edges were rounded and swept, it would be an excellent Vasudan model. As it stands now, some is just a little too blocky to be properly Vasudan.

Doesn't look TOO much like a sneaker.
Nice job, Ryx. You know I want to play with it, right. ;)
-
THIS IS COMMANDEERED BY THE VASUDANS' KINGS GUARD.
Ok, I admit it, I am a weekend vasudan ;7
-
Looks good!
However it also looks like a Cardassian Gaylor class warship.
It would make some minor modifcations to give an impression of direction, granted from the screenies the smaller end is the front and textures can reinforce that but it is still omnidirectional. It needs a definite front.
But it does lood very good as is.
-
Cruise Ship?

Thanks all. :)

Yes. Yes I do. :D

It's Terran/Vas Hybrid. Like the Hecate, IIRC.

they always favor that, you know. do what you have in mind, and if it's different than usual, all the better.
Anyway, I think it needs something more, but I can't find what :doubt: ( no, not the mapping, I see you coming  )
-
I've been thinking. (Yes, quite scary :D )
I thought I would make 2 ships out this one hull.
One is a combat vessel. The other a medicalship, or some kind of deep space maintenance ship. Not as good as a drydock, but handy if one is too far away.
Here's the other one. WIP

So any textures really then :D
-
 yeah, pretty much
-
Sweet mesh. :) You gonna skin it yourself?
-
Yep :)
-
The 2nd mesh looks like it could either be a support ship, dedicated scout vessel (little/no weapons), or some sort of tug.

Powered by the latest in improbability physics, and a real good cup of tea.

Beware the mice!:nervous:

That ship would be good as anything, but there arn't many support ships out there. A new med ship would be nice. A kinda drab greyish with a couple of white pannels with red crosses on them would look very cool. GTM Asclepius (greek god of healing) would be the perfect name.

Anyway, I won't be able to update in awhile as my mobo seems to have died.
Typical! The very same day, I get my R9800 back... :hopping:
Good thing, I have this old machine, though.
-
what mobo do you have?
-
system specs in sig ;)
Abit AT7 MAX 1 (KT333)
I'm trying to persuade myself to change CPU, just in case.
Though, I don't see that one malfunctioning. It's been running Folding@Home every day for a little over a month, with no problems.
(AXP 2400+ with a Swift tech HSF)
-
didn't notice that..
ouch... how's the CPU?

Well, see my edit in previous post. Oh and when I touched the HSF shortly after the crash, it wasn't too hot, or anything.
At first, I thought the vid card had something to do wiht it, but alas no.
In short here's what happened:
Having replaced the GF3 with a R9800 earlier, I was just browsing the net, when the pc locked up. I hit reset, and then it wouldn't POST (and still won't).
Since then, I've swapped vid cards, unplugging hdds, Cleared CMOS.
-
the 9800's is 8x agp....
are you sure your mobo can run that?
-
The AGP is a non-issue. If it was the problem, the comp. should have booted when I switched the Radeon for the GF3.
The problem is the bloody thing won't POST*.
CPU or mobo. For some reason I want it to be the mobo. Weird.
*Power On Startup Test. It's a BIOS thing.
-
i know what post means...
well, i'm stumped.. maybe you should ask in the main forum...

That was just to point out it meant something to those, who don't know. Also I didn't want anyone to think I was shouting. :o ;)
