Title: List of rankings.
Post by: TopAce on June 23, 2003, 05:11:50 pm: How many posts do I have to write in order to achieve the next rank? For example I am now a Myrmidon, and when can I reach the next level(Bakha, I think). A list of all ranks and number of posts required would be useful. Thanks.

I ask it because I want to have my custom avatar, and in order to do that, I must reach a higher rank.

As for the ranks, I think its when you get between 500 and 900, you'll get the next one. It's been so long though.

But remember, don't forget to be really stupid. If you can really suprise us with something, you usually get a title that reflects it. ;)

Yeah, if you see anyone with a custom avatar, check out the main page by clicking here (http://www.3dap.com/hlp) and notice that that same person has their name listed under the staff section.

And vyper is dead on when he said it would encourage spamming. You may think otherwise, but those of us who have been around... for a while... will tell you that this is a tried-and-proven theory.

As far as title... well, that's a whole 'nother story... :lol:

That'd get you a rather humerous or rather pathetic title... I don't especially enjoy being told to **** off, but I've developed more than enough sense than to rise to it when told to do so over the internet. Of course if another of the admin take offence.... *shrugs*...

or not, wasn't it a campaign he was working on, then you guys upgraded to the smaller avatars, but you just left his?

Titles given to you are entierly different on the other hand, as they reflect what others think of youp.

Well, towards the end, he was basically asking for it- he developed this whole "I know the admins are watching me, I'm not afraid of you, go ahead cowards, ban me, I challenge you!" spiel, which was just plain dumb, unless he was for some reason looking for a way to make himself look like an ass and get booted. I mean, a blaze of glory banning is one thing, I've gone for a few of those, but I don't get the compulsion to get kicked on grounds of being an irritating troll...

And Razor was a moron. First he thought he was cool because he call thunder a dumb ass and got away with it, then along with that, he tried to start up his own 'bad boy' rep by trying to act like a rebel. He had this whole "the entire forum is out to get me, but I can take them on, because I'm from Yugoslavia!" And after that, the general populous decided he was an idiot, so he left on his own to keep up his 'rebel image'.

That's entirely true, and why I think this system - or what I've observed of it so far - is better than user-selected titles. Titles given you, I think, give you far more satisfaction; kind of like the difference between finishing a game properly and cheating through it. And besides, if you want to say something about yourself, put it in your sig or your name, I say. ;)

He had the whole 'rebel' attitude thing for ages, it was one of the things I used to hit him for. Specially when he went off on a religious tangent, declaring himself better than all us heathens.
