Just got my 21" monitor back, after about a week of squinting at the little 14"-or-something (and, to a lesser degree, tiny little greenscreens on computers older than I am). This is scary. It's only been a week, but I can't maximize anything or it trips me out.
Man, I gotta get another of these for the old machine!
-
They are nice, aren't they ;)
-
And scary, yes. I can't wait to try playing I-War on this thing...
Well, okay, that will never happen, since, technically speaking, the security setting still stand. But hey, I can imagine it.:D
-
My 19" is pretty bad (good?).. I cant imagine a 21"
-
TV out cards are good, especially when you have a large widescreen :D.
-
too bad TV resolution is less than that of your average desktop....

now the feeling, when i got my 19" and switched from my 14"
woah...;)
-
Small monitors I'm used to, though. It comes with the territory when you get most of your spare parts and wares for trade from junk piles.
-
I have been using 21" monitors for some years now so it's sort of the other way for me; I cannot quickly get used to the smaller ones. :D The only problem with them occurs when trying to lift them up for whatever reason, since they weigh like a hundred pounds. :p
-
*pats his 19" monitor that he's had for three years*
God bless my comp and all its accoutrements. :D
-
yeah, some 19" are nice, mine happens to be a pure flat CRT...
my 51 cm tv (sony trinitron) looks rather nice sitting adjacent..;)
-
Damn you all!
I'm having to make do with a crappy Belinea 15" job, that won't go any higher than 1024*768, and has a ****e refresh rate.
-
ouch man... that sucks
-
Is it a 21" cookie?
Is I use this monitor much longer, my eyes will bugger up, I mean it, the refresh rate has gone to hell.
I've GOT to get a new one.
-
yikes... i feel sorry for ya man... one thing on my personal monitor wishlist is a samsung 24" TFT monitor(widescreen)...
-
What it must be to have money....
-
indeed, took me 6 months to get the cash for my 19"
-
Hate to imagine how long it will take me. Hmmm.
*fires up ebuyer*
Hmm, I've found this bugger.

Now then, that's £117. 4 week's wage, provided I don't spend it on anything else.
Not too bad, to be honest

that's what my monitor did.
i'm saving for some big LCD, but it isn't really getting along.
-
ugh. don't get an LCD monitor, or at least not a Samsung. I tried one but all the colors were washed out even on the lowest brightness setting. so I took it back and got a new video card instead ;7

You Wang? (http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitor/Multi_FunctionLCD/Monitor_Multi_FunctionLCD_241MP.htm)
*drool*
-
now that gets me thinking... fs2 on 24" widescreen;7
-
bof. on my personal wish list is a projector.
-
ooh yea, a good quality projector and a huge white wall/canvas ;7
-
unfortunately not alot of us have that much wall...:p
-
you really are unfortunate, aren't you :D
guess I'm not :D
-
well a huge canvas should be fine too :p
and there shoudl be enough wall for a canvas in every house... I suppose... more or less
-
let's see... four tv's, 83 cm(lounge) 68 cm (kitchen) 51 cm (my room - sitting near 19" monitor) and a 31 cm (spare bedroom)
each has a vcr hooked up to it - the 83 cm has that and the xbox connected...
-
get rid of the crappy TV in your room, then ;) the screen too, while you're at it :D
-
Pfah. We have one TV, and I never use it.
On the other hand, I have something like 8 computers in various stages of disrepair just in my bedroom now, so maybe I shouldn't talk...:D
-
I used to use my 31inch tv...
Had to sell it when I moved, now I am saving up for a projector (plus to help make my video/demo of screwing around with FS2).
Projectors RULE!

tv, crappy? ... like the ad, IT'S a SONY!
and some of us can't afford such extravegant items such as projectors.. the tv's a chrismas present, so i paid pretty much nothng for it..;)
-
a sony TV is nothing compared to a sony projector ( granted, I have no idea if sony makes projectors, but I suppose they do :p )
-
price..;)
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
well, money is there to be spent ;)
-
not if you haven't got any in the first place:sigh:
