If anyone has DX9 installed, I seem to have found a bug that started after upgrading to DX9
The mouse pointer pops up while i`m in game, in the middle of my hud, and some times the hourglass.. If I move the mouse a little it dissapears, but come right back..
Any comments would be great, thanks.

That sucks. You're welcome.
-
I have no problems
-
Free Terran you also have DX9..
It may be my goofy computer. Its not a real annoance, I move the mouse and it`s gone.
-
Yeah i also have DX9 ......DX9SDK exactly because of C++

DX9....you might want to have the little update MS did on 9. They usually do and it usually fixes minor problems. You may have some kind of priority issue in Windows or it may just be your video drivers.
-
I think they're up to version 9.0a at the moment. Try that, and also make sure your video drivers are up to date - remember kids, never ask for help before you've updated your drivers :)
Also, what card are you using?
-
I have the same problems.
I guess I'll go update my drivers...
-
I`m using a Radeon 7500 at the moment to replace a Voodoo 3

Thanks IceFire.
Well it looks like i`ll also try the updates for both DX9 and the Redeon 7500;)
(edit) Oh forgot to mention this, the Radeon 7500 is a PCI card.

happens to me occasionally when I'm playing half-life on 2 screens...I should probably seek said vers 9.0a

Icey, wasn't it your rule of thumb back on the VWBB never to install version x.0 of anything, but always to wait for x.01 or x.0a? :)
-
All I think it is is another program taking control but leaving the one your on open. Just press alt-tab and back it to whatever your playing and it should be fixed. I dont think it has to do with DX9 becuase ive had that happen before I installed it.

My cousin mentioned just yesterday that Direct X 9.0 is a third of the size of Direct X 9.0a, I think he said something about improvements with the DX Diagnostics Panel as well...;)

A general rule of thumb...yes....or at least for goodnessakes don't jump right in on x.0 and wait till the reviews come back. The older DX versions were especially bad (2, 3, and 5 I think) for screwing things up badly. Recently its been better....they are changing less and less stuff and just adding newer features.
