The 3M68 PTO (Pekhota Telekinetik Oruzhie), commonly called a 'Hook', one of the weapons used by Red Fleet infantrymen. Seen with the optional Model 43 PEOP (Passivnaya Edinitsa Obnaruzheniya Protokola) passive protocol detection unit. This device can be carried on a belt or, as seen here, attached to a Hook. Four fragmentation grenades in quick-release latches are also carried, these are a special feature of the 3M68 and can be flung great distances with a simple variation on the defensive rotation option.

A fun little WIP.

purdy:nod:
-
Excessive!
How do you carry that thing? It looks cool, but it also looks like it weighs 70 pounds and doesn't have handholds...
-
Telekinetically. Or you can strap it to your back.
The name translates to 'Telekinetic Infantry Weapon'.
The design is based on a weapon seen in Red Star volume 6, so I can't take too much credit.
-
Hmm... Well, pointy, then.:D
-
I knew you'd like it. :D

you mean like the one i drew for your rpg character?
-
Exactly that. Cool, huh? They hammer of justice got an upgrade. ;)
-
-
All I can say is, "I WANT ONE".:D
-
I have some ideas for different, more original versions. Possibly a fanlike one, that might have potential.
-
a telekinetic axe..;)
give it as a present for when tiara gets back;)
-
Shouldn't be too difficult. I'll see what I can come up with before I go to bed
-
could you make a version where one side of the weapon loses its shapr edge and becomes a handle, and add some more featues for those who aren't telekenetic?
-
I can make a version like that, yes.
-
it sure lacks an handle in case the guy using it has a bad headhache, but it does look cool, and who cares if it looks heavy? Comics soldiers are tougher than a Schwartzeneger on steroids ;)
-
Think this is sufficiently brutish and axelike for her? ;)
It's made to spin around a hand placed at the midsection round bit.
Edit: Pic updated, check page 2
-
I can see it now...
"Don't touch my weapon!!"
"I'm not!!"
".... Don't move my weapon!"
"Bah - you're no fun!"

i can see it now:
Tiara: the human lawnmower :p ;)
-
a tad to undetailed for me, trymaking the blades a tad longer, or bended or something.
nice otherwise, it's just that the blades look like a shovel.
-
Actually, I'm so-so on the blade shape. I have some ideas but.... those will wait for tomorrow.
-
take your time... there's no tearing great rush is there? i thought not..;)
-
ze Red Star eh comrade?
I can't say I much like the URRS weapon designs. I like the old Gorka weapons more, they actually resemble guns. If its telekinteically manipulated, wouldn't only sorcereces be able to handle them. From what I know, normal soldiers dont posses any special powers.
Your second designs looks cool. The way you describe it, it reminds me of Dinobot's weapon in BeastWars. If you want my advice, take of one end (just half your current design), and use the weapon as a "shield with an axe at the end"
BTW, how do you know Russian?
-
*thinks that he should never have given Tiara that axe* :D
-
those are pretty trick Shrike.

No, normal soldiers get TK training as well.

that sentence is so funny after playing a FPs with a squad of noobs.

Now that I'm not falling down tired....

-
mmh, I prefered the former version ( I know, who cares what I prefer :p ).
-
This one looks more axe-y though.
-
Looks sweet bro :)
Course it reminded me.... you never did do up that Saber hilt design we got talking about on ICQ way back :P
-
It's kinda excessive looking. The original looked more utilitarian, like an actual weapon- this looks more like those wierd fantasy knives and **** with so many curly bits and points and such they couldn't actually ever be used as weapons.

That's sort of the idea. I don't see how you could make a respectible-looking TK axe. If anything it'd be like a Pred disk.
-
Pred disk?

Looks utterly useless. See, that would never make a real-life weapon, and anyone who's ever thrown anything could see that. You need to figure out a design that can be carried around and swung effectively in combat (hands or no, that thing'd be unwieldy as hell), not just look freaky, because if you just go for looks it won't look nearly so good.

The disk is a self-guided smart weapon. Haven't you seen Predator 2?
-
No. I've got a to-watch list that extends longer than the average human lifespan, and I watch maybe two movies a month- it's somewhere in there. It still looks useless- you'd need your other hand to get it off, even.
Anyway, who says it has to be a double-bladed axe? One side would be enough, something like a fan blade o' death might be interesting...

was in the first too, but used less often. that thing was nifty, should I add :) ( and it made a cool sound ).
-
i didn't see that.. where? i thought the pred used the plasmacaster and wristblades for the first movie..

:eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2:
