In the spirit of the fairly inane threads of late, I have taken it upon myself to start this one.
If this only adds to the effects that brought about my title, then so be it.
So, what music would you want played at your funeral?
I would have either O Fortuna, or Van Den Budenmeyer - Winds.
(Unlike my Uncle, who requested that Hawaiian music be played at his)

If i managed to hate a lot of people before i die...
than it's Eric Idle's "Always look on the bright side of life" just to annoy them..:p
otherwise, i have absolutely no idea:D
-
Isn't that mind? You won't hear that.
-
Although if I was cremated rather than buried, I'd have something along the lines of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire, or Prodigy's Firestarter.:D

I might also have the Ground Force theme played while they dig my grave.

"J'irais pisser sur vos tombes" :p

Beware my friends, as you pass by
As you are now so once was I
As I'm now so you must be
Prepare my friends to follow me
-
Ahh, simple.
Tool - Eulogy :thepimp:
He had alot to say.
He had alot of nothing to say.
We'll miss him.
So long.
We wish you well.
You told us how you weren't afraid to die.
Well then, so long.
Don't cry.
Or feel too down.
Not all martyrs see divinity.
But at least you tried.
Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud.
We'll miss him.
Ranting and pointing his finger
At everything but his heart.
We'll miss him.
No way to recall
What it was that you had said to me,
Like I care at all.
So loud.
You sure could yell.
You took a stand on every little thing
And so loud.
Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice so strong and loud and I
Swallowed his facade cuz I'm so
Eager to identify with
Someone above the ground,
Someone who seemed to feel the same,
Someone prepared to lead the way, with
Someone who would die for me.
Will you? Will you now?
Would you die for me?
Don't you ****in lie.
Don't you step out of line.
Don't you ****in lie.
You've claimed all this time that you would die for me.
Why then are you so surprised to hear your own eulogy?
You had alot to say.
You had alot of nothing to say.
Come down.
Get off your ****in cross.
We need the ****in space to nail the next fool martyr.
To ascend you must die.
You must be crucified
For your sins and your lies. [sic]
Goodbye...

If I had a say in what they play, it'll be something from Brit Spears, just to drive people insane :D
-
The "Shaft" theme song.
-
I like the Credits song from Homeworld, the one by Yes.
That'd be cool
-
Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, no question.
-
Now there's a good idea.
-
Mr Self Destruct - Nine Inch Nails
Just for the reaction.
Though Stryke's idea made me laugh the most.
-
Unknown - Living in a Box (Funny)
Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries (Dramatic)
Motorhead - Ace of Spades (Violent)
Korn - Here To Stay (Funny and Violent)
Soil - Halo (Funny and Violent)
Beethoven - 5th Symphony (Dramatic)
Johnny Cash - Cocaine Blue (Funny)
Star Wars - Imperial March (Evily Funny)
Korn - Thoughtless (Just Plain Cool)
Marilyn Manson - This Is The New **** (Violent)
POD - Alive (Funny)
The Raven - As read by James Earl Jones (?) on the Simpsons Haloween Special
-
ah, quite a morbid thread :D
I'd want Threnody for the victims of Hiroshima by Penderecki, that song is very disturbing when you listen to it at high volumes, especially if you don't know what to expect.
-
Ooooh!!!!!
Metallica - Going To Hell (from the South Park movie)
****ing awesome.
-
You want something really long, like a whole album. Make people work for their after-funeral canapes.
-
How about everything that Perez Prado ever did?
-
No no no, how about the complete Goons collection?
-
Now there's an idea.
Something else that's just occured to me:
Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds.
-
'I told you I was ill'
You know, when Spike Milligan died and people were asked to comment, Paul Whitehouse said "sounds like attention-seeking to me". Now that's funny.
-
"Another one bites the dust" - Queen.

I guess Highway to Hell wouldn't be all that original. :p
Or out of bad taste -
tupac - I wonder if Heaven got a Ghetto
Papa Roach - Last Resort
SOAD - Bounce (;) )
-
The Homeworld Main Theme.

-
you mean stick 'im on a funeral pyre, and then get the marshmallows?
-
Hrm...
Either "Komm, Susser Tod" from End of Eva, or the "Thanatos" track from Eva soundtrack #2. :p
-
I'd want a cross between a New Orleans and Irish funeral... meaning lots of Jazz, and huge party afterwards (Irish wakes are great, its a celebration of the person's life, not this depressing mourning ****).
-
"Zero the Hero" by Black Sabbath.
-
"Fade to Black" by Metallica.;7
On a more serious note...Whatever my family decides to hire, because I'll be dead and won't care.:)
-
Possibly the Choral version of Adagio for Strings (Agnus Dei), or, of course, 'Surprise, you're dead' by Faith no More :)
Flipside :)

[color=66ff00]Some are, hopefully mine will be. Some do have little but mourning which is quite sad considering that the vast majority of people here are catholic and should by belief be celebrating the fact that their loved ones have 'gone to a better place'.
Something I've always found strange...
