A couple of questions about monitors. See, I've got one monitor, an LCD monitor, which I'm using now...except it's a puny 15-inch, and it doesn't do games very well (It seems to be hard on my eyes). I've got another, larger, CRT monitor...but whenever I try to use it, there tend to be horizontal black lines going across the screen, or similar distortion patterns, that sometimes move vertically as well.
Question 1: Any idea what's wrong with the CRT monitor, and how difficult it is to fix?
Question 2: I've heard about LCD monitors that are supposedly optimized for high-speed animation (ie games, DVDs). Does this make a significant difference, and how can I tell if a monitor has been optimized or not?
