Title: SCP Idea for FS-FS2 port!

I was thinking about the SCP and Thaught of a way to have The FS1 Support ships replace the FS2 ones in a FS2 mission!

Ok here it gos.....There would be a check box that would say Use FS1 support ships only? with a little check box next to it. Then you check the littile box and only the Freespace Support ships would be used when you call in for reloads, also if unchecked it would only use the Freespace 2 support ships for the mission. It would be located in the mission space menu Cool no?:nervous:

This is already possible with the set-support-ship sexp.

However, the FSPort team wants to keep the Port without any non-SCP features.  But there's nothing to stop you from making your own missions like this. :)

Is it in the latest version of the FS2Open? If so I can start making a demo mission for my Battle of Deneb camp I got FRED 2 Open runing now I need to know what weapons were there at the time and if people wan't there to be some tenchens with the Terrans, and Vasudans I got one hell of a mission for the demo it's the first mission in the Campgian.

If anyone els would like to help me make this I would be glad to have the extra hands in mission making I can most of it but I'm only one man. :lol:

I can do some events but what I got pland is a bit diffrent, and I don't know how to make a ship Move to stop another from shooting somthing. Like I said I can type out and draw up a story line for the thing I just need help making it happen.

Put up a webpage with pictures or your storyline, and ask people to come look at your page and sign up for your campaign.  Free Terran started his campaign this way - you might want to ask him for tips.

Personally, I've been thinking about some nifty SCP additions to the Port, including StarGunner's proposition, and making the Avenger ballistic. However, there's not enough to make it worth the time, effort, or download size.

Awakenings, on the other hand...

What set support ship sexp? I got FS2Open the newest version too, and there is no set support ship sexp.

Don't get mad, remember what happened last time.:rolleyes:

Check to see you are running the fs2_open FRED. Then look again.

Voila.

I just realized that you need a ship with a fighterbay in the mission for the sexp to be selectable.  That'll have to be fixed.

Ok sorry for the little outburst I don't think I got the right build what one are you runing? Could you send me a copy? I got Fred2open v3.41

Thats not the link to the Fred2_Open.exe, thats just to the infrno builds, and the shine ones, not what I'm looking for.

I just checked it agian and it's not there at all not even a icon for it.:confused: Whats not working right? I need that build you got dude. I can't do it with the latest, build you must have a test version or something not avalible yet.

Ok new prob I got how it works and all but how do I set it up so when i call in for support it worps in and not the FS2 one?

The last argument is the name of the ship class.  Select GTS Centaur.

I keep getting an Error about the tags on the event, the Default is Hiperspace but I get this every time I save.

Error in event Supportship -

The INF build has a copy of Fred2_Open.

No but it works it just that Fred *****es about it every mission I use it in. :lol:

FRED *****es about a lot of things that still work. In a few of my missions, you play as Beta 1, not Alpha 1. FRED hollers and moans, but FS2 does not blow up.
