After this capture, I spooled up and fired the catapult - took off like a charm (which I hadn't expected)

:wtf:

You know what Thunderbirds is, right? And you know what an aircraft carrier is I assume. Thus... we have Thunderbird 2 on an aircraft carrier.

That crappy show with the clay people they show at like 2am? Or maybe you're talking about some advanced military jet?

bah, is that supposed to sarcastic? I don't even know. It does looks weird, which often times mean advanced. But maybe its too wierd, in which case its from the show. But I never knew the show was so popular as to be common knowledge

ahhh its all so confusing

BTW I'm not doing this on purpose. I really am that stupid..

No! No need for that, uhm....I was just kidding, ofcourse I know what it is. I was just trying to see if you knew what it was...

As for the clay people remark, you know like clay animation ala Wallace and Gromit. Thunderbirds is also a clay animation show about some 50s US spy people..

edit: Ok, looked it up. See, it WAS the clay people. How the hell does such a crappy show get so popular?

Petrarch: ofcourse! how could such a crucial detail slip my mind? You seriously watch that? Do you watch it drunk, and then it all seems funny or what? I mean, even camp has its limits:D :D

Would you believe me if I said it was the Mysterons?

Actually that tells me the catapult is ready to fire.. and fire it I did. I did actually get TB2 up and flying on a true vertical takeoff once, but I seem to have lost the knack.

Another X-Plane favourite is the B-52 drop. You're supposed to drop off the B-52's wing in an X-15, but I've done it in the Wright Flyer, a Steinway Grand Piano and a B-52 :nervous:

Does this give us an idea what you'll do next: Captain Scarlet in HL2?

Yeah the B-52 drop is pretty cool.  I tried it with the supersonic jet car(that thing that broke the speed record a while back), at full throttle it will eventually generate enough lift to fly, but theres no way to control or land it :)

Xplane? that's a challenger to flight simulator. when the frirst version came out, it was ugly as hell, but featured incredible physics, and stuff you couldn't do ( or not well ) in FS ( like helicopters, VTOL planes, and even, if I remember correctly, high atmosphere flight ( landing with the shuttle ) ). It also has ( had? ) a very complete plane editor ( complete physics-wise, not for  visual of your plane ). I used to be a simulator freak, but I've give up years ago, so I dunno how Xplane has evolved.

They're currently in the beta stage of version 7... they've finally started to address the accusations that it looks ugly as hell and the new version looks pretty fancy.

At some point I'll try and put a Hammerhead in it...
