Title: Spreading the (FS2) gospel
Post by: redsniper on July 16, 2003, 03:16:31 pm
 I was just playing NWN and some guy was asking everybody for a CD key because he had downloaded his copy off of KaZaA.  After a long argument I convinced him to go to HotU and d/l Freespace. :D
don't flame me for this

Probably a good idea. FS2 doesn't use a CD key so I don't know what he downloaded :)

I think redsniper meant the guy downloaded Neverwinter, not Freespace.

[feels cynical]

That would be SO FUNNY! He, like, types in the key, but, it, like, says that it's INVALID! HAHAHAHAHHAAAAA!!!!

No.

[/feels cynical]

I'm in a Stryke-9 kinda mood, srry for any inconvience or suicides I may have caused.

I think you're over-estimating the importance of your opinion.

yeah it was Neverwinter he downloaded.
He was asking for games that didn't need CD keys so I told him Freespace was the best game ever and that he could legally get it for free.  He was kind of an idiot though; he said he could have bought NWN if he wanted too but just didn't feel like spending the money   Whatever, he probably forgot the HotU URL already. At least I tried...

i just got every file except smarty.vp and the cutscenes in a single 600MB rar, ready for distribution everywhere. if i can find a place to put it,donwlaod it and put it on cd's to "hand out" to the public. (read: force them to install it and then wait for cry's of joy)
