Title: Another release 1 problem...

I've installed the mod properly (ships display in game correctly etc.) however in the first mission, I have no gun or missle options at all - there's simply no guns or missiles to choose from, and none loaded as default on the ship.

No custom tables that I can see installed... any thoughts?

Did you change campaigns so that you're in the Inferno campaign?

Of course :)

Reset the campaign, loaded inferno, checked that it worked (ships do indeed run fine in game - so the packs where it should be) but there's simply no weapons available for loadout...

I did say in the modding forum to create a new pilot on FS2 startup, NOT in the barracks as that doesn't work properly (i.e. ****ed up techroom).

Then I suggest you put it in the readme for the campaign - to clear such confusion in future for people who don't run across that information :)

it'll defintely be in the next readme, as the INF exes require the new pilot.

Or you could require the SCP and use the "custom tech database" flag. :)

SCP refuses to use glowpoints/glowmaps on my system unless I use OpenGL 1024*768 - which seems to make it run in software and at 640*480. :p

Is there gonna be an update soon? I think the launcher's responsible for most of the problems.

Oh, SCP completely refuses to run missions with the total amount of ships we have in the campaign. It starts up fine, but crashes whenever one tries to load a scenario.
