Title: Kind of a gripe
Post by: Liberator on July 20, 2003, 01:33:37 am
But not really.  I just wanted to know that I've tried 3 separate times to DL the single file version and it has hosed on me every time.  There was great nashing of teeth, when I got to within 3 meg of being done and FP decides to fall back and punt.  I know I'm on a 56k and using a DL Manager(Flashget) but it's strange that one of the largest file sites should be that unreliable over a long DL that 56k users have to endure(9 hours+ for the monolithic file).

One of the team members should look into a non-FP mirror for the big one.

This may work:

http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/us/files/inf_release1.exe

It's telefragged, so it's fairly reliable...
