Basically, I want input on my upcoming project- is this worth even bothering with? It'll likely take a full week to model and another month to texture it properly, and I dunno if I can use it in anything...

Whoa...
The 'blackthorn' or the little ship?
-
The big ugly pirate station (I may change the name if I find a... less lame one). The little ship is an elaboration of my Hood design, which is intended to be the Jeep of spaceships- in this case hotrodded to have two kinds of missile launchers and a couple extra guns- I just threw it in because I liked it.

Probably. Yes. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Don't you lot start as well (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
Looks nice Stryke! I say go for it (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

A Probe may have a mini-hanger, from which to launch mini-probes. Without a scale on those ships i cant tell how big they are.
-
if those arms are landing pads like on the Ciaro station, then it's pretty big.
It remindes me of a shard of crystal .

Its nice, a little straight mabey and trobulon shaped (that chocolate thingy)
-
Yes, there's a hangar. I guess it dsoesn't show in the sketch, but it goes down the midde between those spiky antennae.
And yes, it's big. See that little X-shaped thing near the platform to the top-right? That's an I-War tug (I designed this when I was still planning on modding I-War)
It's supposed to be basically a huge comms antenna that got dragged off into an asteriod belt by pirates so they could have a base... got cannon addons all over, they're most of the little black things I couldn't get to scan right...

its still looks like a probe. I mean it's not like an anal probe or anything, maybe a prosate probe?
-
I guess, if that's what you're into, then... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Looks kind of like a deep-space communications router to me; maybe you could have it used for intersystem transmissions. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

LOL I have noticed his last few posts all contained something about hangars. I like hangars too though; maybe I should do the same thing... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Ok on second thought maybe it is an anal probe. No if and butts about it. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
I love hangars too! I make BIG hangars with doors and stuff!
So how many hangars does it have? just 1?
-
Hey, dont look at me, i didnt do anything. All i,ve done recently is fall backwards on my blades when dropping into a half-pipe, i did drop fine just wasnt prepared to start going up again (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif).

'Ere, Codedog, bend over... Aw **** it, this new 9-mile-long electronic dildo I got you for christmas won't fit! Try loosening up! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
Yeah, quit it. Really.
-
nope, its still a probe. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
:walks away tender-footed:
Ow ow ow ow.
Really though, shrink it then it would be a great probe.
-
I think a Sathanas would be moe up your alley...
But there, I thought up a new name for my station! The "Steely Dan"! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

NO! Steely BOB is better!!! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

You never read the book, did you?

Nope, but I got drunk and puked on an asian hooker.
I think Bob sounds better.

Steely Dan is the world's most famous literary dildo- had some really nasty features, too. From Naked Lunch. I recommend it, if you're a gay necrophiliac man. Otherwise, I speak from experience in saying that you won't make it past the second page. Social commentary, my *** .
-
Well, I'm not gay. Kinky s/m **** but not gay. That and any kinda of "sex based" books and movies never really interested me. Now "kill kill kill" books I like. Not much on romance. And that shows in my personality anyways. I couldn't talk a cow into doing anything with me.

You don't need to talk with cows. Turst me.
Wait, I, er

Particularly 'cause I don't remember being on here that night. Ah well... how did that even not get this locked?

(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wtf.gif) Drunk or not its still disturbing you know of its existance.
-
Er... I don't remember being drunk, either. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
And I read a lot. It's supposed to be a great book, so I opened it up, and instantly disregarded the recommendant's opinions for all time.
